Locum Tenens Radiologist Opportunity - Diagnostic Imaging Excellence
A leading medical center in New Jersey is seeking a Board-Certified Diagnostic Radiologist for an immediate and ongoing locum tenens assignment. This role offers a dynamic work environment alongside a collaborative team of Radiologists and support staff.
Positions Highlights:
Start Date: ASAP
Schedule: Weekdays and weekends
Day shift: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Evening Shift: 1:00 PM - 10:00 PM
Occasional weekend availability required
On-Call: None
Patient Volume: Approximately 440 studies daily; monthly average 13,200
Team Structure: Work alongside 6-7 radiologists on weekdays and 2-3 on weekends
Clinical Responsibilities:
- Interpret a variety of imaging modalities, including:
- CT
- MRI
- Ultrasound
- Preliminary Reads
- CT perfusion studies
- Perform upper GI procedures (approximately 10 per week)
- Nuclear medicine capabilities preferred but not mandatory
Support and Environment:
- Collaborative work with a team of radiologists
- Assistance from hospital-employed support staff and modality supervisor
- Advanced Practice Providers on staff (locum not responsible for supervision)
EMR System: Epic
Qualifications:
- Board Certified in Diagnostic Radiology
- Eligible for licensure in New Jersey
- Proficient in interpreting CT, MRI, and ultrasound studies
- Expertise with upper GI procedures
- Nuclear Medicine experience is a plus
