- Up to 12 patients per day for procedures
- ERCP, EUS, colonoscopy, upper endoscopy, liver biopsy required
- 2 - 4 phone consults per 24-hour period
- Less inpatient work hospitalists handle admissions
- 15 hour overnight call shifts
- Weekend call 24 hours
- Paid malpractice insurance; pre-paid travel and housing expenses
