Gastroenterology Locum Bismarck (ND)
Seeking a Gastroenterology physician for hospital-based call coverage. General GI candidates will be considered, with ERCP experience highly preferred. ERCP-capable providers will receive priority review. Coverage Dates Schedule & Setting
24-hour call coverage
In-house for approximately 8 hours daily for procedures and rounding (flexible based on census)
Hospital and call coverage only No clinic
Solo coverage (no additional GI on site)
No supervision of other providers
Clinical Volume & Expectations
1 2 ERCPs per week (key volume consideration)
1 2 scopes per day on average
1 2 new consults per day
5 6 patients to round on daily
Management of hospitalized GI patients
Endoscopy support includes RNs and CRNAs
No NP support
EMR: Epic
Required Procedures
Colonoscopy, biopsy, polypectomy
Proctoscopy / flexible sigmoidoscopy
Hemorrhoidal banding
Upper GI endoscopy
PEG placement
Esophageal variceal banding
Management of acute GI bleeds
Dilation
Highly Preferred: ERCP
Credentialing Requirements
Board Certified Required
State license (pending accepted; IMLC considered) Required
BLS & DEA Required
Clean malpractice history preferred
Self-Query NPDB (within 30 days) Required at presentation
Case logs required at presentation and at offer
