General Surgeon Opportunity Southside Regional Medical Center Petersburg, VA
Southside Regional Medical Center is actively seeking a General Surgeon to join our well-established surgical practice in Petersburg, Virginia, just 30 minutes south of Richmond.
What We're Looking For:
- Board-certified/eligible General Surgeon
- 5+ years of experience preferred
- Strong skills in general surgery: hernia, gallbladder, abdominal surgeries
- Experience or interest in colon cancer, anorectal disease, and colonoscopy is a plus
- Bariatric experience or willingness to cover bariatric call highly preferred
What You Can Expect:
- Full-time schedule: Monday Friday, 8am 5pm
- Up to 7 call days/month (24hr shifts)
- Mix of clinical, ER support, inpatient consults, and occasional primary call
- Average 20 patients/day
- Adult and geriatric patient base from primary care, ER, and inpatient referrals
