Position: Senior Quantity Surveyor


Description: Job Title: Senior Quantity Surveyor

Job Type: Permanent


The successful Quantity Surveyor will report to the Regional Directors and the Board of Directors. You will take a senior role with all aspects of quantity surveying/ estimating from pre-contract through to post-contract services, prepare final accounts and claims in line with our client's requirements. You will be expected to interact with our clients including attending meetings to promote the ST1 business and represent the company in a professional manner.


Key Responsibilities/ Accountabilities:


Carry out estimating services including BQ production


Carry out quantity surveying services


Provide the lead on commercial and financial advice. Provide procurement and contract advice and prepare the same as required


Maximise value recovery, cost control, and cash management on projects worked on


Commercially manage control SC packages on projects worked on


Protection of the Company's contractual position on projects worked on


Produce and agree accounts on projects worked on


Prepare financial reports as required


Prepare final accounts and claim documents


Assist with the development of the ST1 business


Assist with the development of staff


Assisting with resource management


Assist with the management of the ST1 team


Ensure ST1 fee recovery/ maximization


Ability to manage client commissions and own key client relationships


Ability to understand client's needs and provide advice on how ST1 can assist


Work with the senior team to produce fee proposals and deliver a successful commission for ST1

Specification:


At least 5 years' experience in the industry


Strong writing and numeracy skills.


Proficient in Outlook and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).


Ability to communicate with people effectively in a friendly, courteous manner with good presentation skills.


Hold a full UK driving licence.


Based in Ely office but willing to be involved with Projects all over the country.


Job Type: Permanent


Pay: ss65,000.00-ss80,000.00 per year


Work Location: In person
