Description: Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and licensed Full-Time Plumber to join our construction and maintenance team. The ideal candidate will possess comprehensive knowledge of plumbing systems, construction practices, and mechanical systems, with the ability to work efficiently on lite commercial and residential projects. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to a variety of projects, including remodeling, new installations, and repairs, ensuring compliance with safety standards and building codes. Duties Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems in commercial and residential settings using hand tools, power tools, and pipe threading equipment Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to execute plumbing layouts accurately Perform welding and fabrication tasks as needed for custom pipe fitting or repairs Conduct remodeling projects involving plumbing components, including demolition and reinstallation Utilize mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot and resolve complex plumbing issues efficiently Assist with HVAC system installation and maintenance when required Perform some heavy lifting of materials and equipment safely on construction sites Ensure all work complies with local building codes, safety regulations, and industry standards Collaborate with other trades such as carpentry and maintenance person services to complete projects seamlessly Maintain a clean work environment and adhere to safety protocols at all times Experience Valid plumber's license in the state of Iowa with proven experience in construction plumbing projects Construction site experience is highly preferred, including familiarity with schematics and blueprints Hands-on experience with welding, pipe threading, and the use of hand tools and power tools Knowledge of HVAC systems, remodeling processes, and general mechanical systems is advantageous Ability to read technical schematics and schematics related to plumbing and HVAC systems Experience in commercial driving or operating heavy machinery is a plus Strong mechanical aptitude combined with basic math skills for measurements and calculations Previous maintenance person or assembly experience is beneficial for versatile project support This position requires a dedicated professional capable of working independently or as part of a team to deliver high-quality results on time. Candidates must demonstrate strong technical skills, safety awareness, and adaptability across various construction-related tasks.
