Description:
Coverage Needed :
- As soon as credentialed - ongoing
- Urgent: Thursdays and Fridays
- On-site coverage, including call coverage, weekends, and nights
- Physician call coverage involves 24-hour shifts: weekdays include day work followed by overnight call; weekends are 24-hour shifts
- Estimated 2-4 24-hour shifts per month, plus occasional day shifts
Clinical Details :
- Call volume is variable, dependent on emergency room activity
- Unrestricted call with a 30-minute response time
- EMR: Medaxion
- Support staff includes anesthesia nurses and support techs
- Approximately 15 ORs/anesthetizing locations, depending on the day
- Types of procedures: General, Endo, CV, OB, Trauma (Level III Adult); excludes ENT, Pediatrics, and Neuro (may be added in the future)
- Team care model with a mix of supervision and room coverage needs
- Anesthesiologists may supervise up to 3 CRNAs
- Anesthesiologists take beeper call after hours; in-house during weekdays
Requirements :
- ACLS certification required
- MD/DO with call experience preferred
- Must be board certified or board eligible
- DEA must remain in state to maintain privileges. Provider must be willing transfer and maintain DEA in state for the duration of privileges being active, or obtain a new in state DEA to remain in state for the duration of privileges being active
