Description: Exciting Opportunity: Lead Quantity Surveyor Location: Central Scotland Company: Bell Group Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent Salary: Competitive + Bonus + Car Allowance Are you ready to lead, inspire, and deliver? Bell is looking for a Lead Quantity Surveyor to join our growing team in Central Scotland . This is your opportunity to take a senior commercial role within one of the UK's largest property services contractors-overseeing impactful projects that improve homes, communities, and public spaces. About the Role: As Lead Quantity Surveyor, you'll be responsible for the successful financial management of a wide-ranging project portfolio. You'll manage a team of surveyors and trainees, support business growth, and ensure the successful delivery of contracts from tender through to completion. Project Portfolio may include (but is not limited to): Social Housing Refurbishments (internal & external) Commercial Refurbishments External Wall Insulation (EWI) Retrofit and Energy Efficiency Upgrades Passive Fire Protection Key Responsibilities: Lead and develop a team of surveyors, ensuring robust financial control across all projects. Manage project tenders, cost forecasting, WIP, CVRs, and commercial risk. Oversee cost reporting and ensure projects are delivered profitably and on time. Work closely with clients, fostering long-term relationships and identifying new opportunities. Ensure accurate subcontractor payments and adherence to commercial KPIs. What You'll Need: Minimum 7 years' experience in Quantity Surveying, ideally in planned maintenance, refurbishment, or retrofit sectors. Proven ability to manage multiple contracts and high project volumes. Strong leadership, analytical, and negotiation skills. Proficiency in Excel and financial forecasting tools. Experience working with NEC, JCT, or SBCC contracts (advantageous). Quantity Surveying qualification. Full UK driving licence and valid CSCS card. Why Bell? We don't just offer jobs-we build careers.
