The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining various types of Heavy Goods Vehicles (HGVs) and equipment. Key Responsibilities: - Conduct routine inspections and diagnostic tests on HGVs and equipment to identify issues and determine necessary repairs. - Perform mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic repairs on HGVs, trailers, and related equipment. - Complete scheduled maintenance tasks, including oil changes, brake adjustments, and fluid checks, to ensure vehicles operate safely and efficiently. - Troubleshoot and repair engine, transmission, and brake systems. - Utilize diagnostic tools and equipment to accurately diagnose and repair mechanical issues. - Maintain accurate records of repairs, parts used, and labor hours. - Adhere to safety protocols and regulations at all times. - Collaborate with team members to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines. Requirements: - Proven experience as an HGV Mechanic or similar role. - Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems. - Strong knowledge of HGV engines, transmissions, and brake systems. - Ability to interpret technical manuals and schematics. - Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. - Solid understanding of safety protocols and regulations. - Ability to work independently and as part of a team. - Certification from a recognized automotive or technical institute is preferred. - Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
