Locum Cardiothoracic/Vascular Surgeon (Call Coverage)
Bon Secours Mercy Health Springfield Regional Medical Center is seeking a Cardiothoracic/Vascular Surgeon to provide call coverage for multiple scheduled blocks in 2026.

Facility & Practice Setting
Full-service acute care hospital
100% adult, hospital-based practice
250 total beds; 60 ICU beds
Onsite lab and imaging
EMR: Epic
Team includes 1 physician and 2 mid-level providers
Required Procedures & Skills
General cardiothoracic and vascular surgery
Coronary artery bypass grafting
Congenital defect repair
Valvular repair and replacement
Aneurysm repair
Lung resections (including VATS)
Chest wall and pleural procedures
Esophageal and diaphragm surgeries
Carotid and renal endarterectomy
Bronchoscopy
Ventilation management
Evaluation and management of acute volume and blood pressure issues
Candidate Requirements
Board Certified (required)
Active Ohio medical license (required)
BLS and ACLS certifications (required)
Clean malpractice and credentialing history (required)
COVID vaccination (required at name clear)
Ability to cover listed dates (required)
NPDB self-query dated within 30 days of presentation (required)
