Locum Interventional Cardiologist
Seeking a Locum Interventional Cardiologist to provide inpatient and call coverage for an open requisition.
Practice Setting
Inpatient and call coverage
Adult to geriatric patient population
No outpatient clinic responsibilities
No supervision of other providers required
No other interventional cardiologists on-site during coverage
EMR: Epic
Required Procedures
Cardiac catheterizations
Percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI)
Coronary and balloon angioplasty
Coronary angiograms
Carotid artery stenting
Atherectomy
Embolic protection procedures
Credentialing & Logistics
Estimated credentialing timeframe: 120 days
Facility reimburses travel-related expenses including hotel, rental car, flight, and mileage
Candidate Requirements
Board Certified in Interventional Cardiology (required)
Active Virginia medical license and DEA at submission (required; no exceptions)
BLS and ACLS certifications (required)
Fellowship training (highly preferred)
NPDB self-query dated within 30 days at time of presentation (required)
