Description: Job Title: Locum-to-Perm Family Practice Physician Position Overview: AtlantiCare is seeking a dedicated Family Practice Physician for a locum-to-permanent role within AtlantiCare Primary Care in Rio Grande, New Jersey. This opportunity is ideal for physicians interested in transitioning from a temporary assignment to a permanent position. Key Responsibilities: Deliver outpatient primary care services to adult patients in a Level II trauma-designated setting. Conduct adult medical assessments, diagnosis, and treatment plans. Interpret electrocardiograms (EKGs) accurately to support patient care. Perform occupational health evaluations, including disability and occupational medicine exams. Document patient encounters accurately using the Cerner Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system. Adhere to established clinical guidelines, protocols, and best practices to ensure high-quality patient outcomes. Qualifications: Medical Degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution. Active New Jersey medical license (or eligible and able to obtain licensing within approximately 90 days). BLS (Basic Life Support) certification is required. Prior experience in primary care or family medicine is preferred. Excellent clinical judgment, communication skills, and professionalism. Ability to work independently in a busy outpatient setting. Schedule and Compensation: Day shifts from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with no call, inpatient responsibilities, or emergency department backup required. Position aligns with ongoing coverage needs due to provider departure. Travel reimbursement available for local providers; mileage reimbursed at IRS standard rates. Additional Details: Credentialing process estimated to take approximately 90 days. Practice utilizes Cerner EMR; familiarity preferred but not mandatory.
