As a faculty member in the Division of Infectious Diseases, a successful candidate will have experience in providing consultative ID care to a highly complex patient population. The UNC Division of Infectious Diseases has six inpatient consult services, which include two consult services specializing in providing care to immunocompromised hosts. UNC ID faculty also staff a medical admitting service, and provide outpatient consultative ID care, as well as primary HIV care. Experience in compromised host and/or transplant infectious diseases consultation in the inpatient or outpatient setting in preferred but not required. The Associate Medical Director of Infection Prevention will provide leadership for UNC Hospitals Infection Prevention efforts and will support the current Executive Director with leadership for the community-based UNC Health hospitals and associated ambulatory clinics owned by UNC Health. The role also provides consultative clinical Infectious Diseases care.
