Position: Hematology/Oncology Physician |
Description: Facility in Peoria, IL seeking Inpatient Oncology locums coverage Rates: $560/hr Position: Locum Tenens Medical Oncologist
Start Date: July 1, 2025
Schedule: Monday Friday, 12-hour shifts starting at 7:30 AM
Shifts per Month: Approximately 15
Setting: Hospital-based
Support: APP on-site; PRN Medical Oncologist available one week per month
EMR: EPIC
Privileges: Full or Temporary available
Estimated Credentialing Time: 60 days Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive patient care including consultations, admissions, and follow-up management
- Conduct hospital rounds as needed
- Collaborate with in-practice APP for consults, orders, and patient care planning
Coordinate with the broader cancer care team for continuity of treatment
- Cover when the PRN Medical Oncologist is off-site
Requirements:
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Medical Oncology
- Active Illinois medical license OR IMLC
- DEA with Schedule II authority
- ACLS certified
- Minimum 1 year of experience
Additional Notes:
- No weekend shifts
- No on-call requirements
- No solo coverage
