Description: Join Our Team as a Locum Physician Emergency Medicine in Bay City, MI We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Locum Physician specializing in Emergency Medicine to provide exceptional care on a temporary basis. This vital role involves onsite coverage in a dynamic emergency department, helping to bridge staffing gaps and ensure seamless patient care. Required Skills: Active and unrestricted Medical License in Michigan Board Certification or Eligibility in Emergency Medicine Proven experience in adult outpatient, pediatric outpatient, and neonatal resuscitation Proficiency in orthopedic non-displaced fracture treatment, suturing, incision & drainage, and other EM procedures Competence in ventilator management, airway establishment, and advanced life support Ability to interpret EKGs and perform procedures such as lumbar puncture, arthrocentesis, and paracentesis Strong clinical judgment and excellent communication skills Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced environments with high patient volumes (approximately 80 patients/day) Nice to Have Skills: Experience working in Cerner EHR systems Prior locum or emergency department experience in similar settings Familiarity with industrial-related medical issues Additional procedural skills or certifications in advanced airway management Preferred Education and Experience: MD or DO degree from an accredited institution Minimum of 2 years recent emergency medicine clinical experience Active Michigan medical license and current ACLS/PALS certifications Other Requirements: Must be available to start on or before 11/12/2025 Shifts vary from early mornings to late nights, with no call obligations Compliance with all hospital policies and procedures Willingness to adhere to travel policies; travel expenses are limited as per hospital guidelines Must clock in/out using DocTime system; no timesheets accepted Vaccinations and background checks as required This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute your expertise in a supportive environment, with competitive compensation and ongoing support.
