Position Overview:




  • Full-time 1099 role




  • 12-hour shifts




  • Approx. 2 patients per hour ED volume




  • Advanced Practice Provider (APP) support provided




  • Malpractice and tail insurance included





Key Responsibilities:




  • Deliver emergency care in a high-efficiency, community hospital setting




  • Direct and coordinate resuscitations and acute interventions




  • Partner with APPs to streamline care




  • Accurately document patient care in the EMR system




  • Contribute to departmental performance and patient safety efforts





Requirements:




  • ABEM board certified




  • Must have or be eligible for California medical license




  • Proven ability to collaborate in a fast-paced ED setting






    • Physical Demands:


      This physician/APP role requires stamina in fast-paced healthcare: prolonged standing/walking (8-12 hrs/shift); rapid emergency movement (sprints, crowds); lifting/carrying 25-50 lbs equipment; pushing/pulling 100 lbs (beds/carts) with aid; frequent bending/stooping/kneeling for care; constant reaching/fine motor skills (suturing/IVs); occasional climbing/balancing; tolerating stressors (temps, noise, fluids, hazards) during irregular shifts/on-call/infection risks accommodations for disabilities; varies by setting (clinic/ER).
