We are delighted to be recruiting a committed and resilient SEN Teacher to join a specialist SEMH provision in Rochdale. This is a full-time, long-term opportunity with a clear route to a permanent position following a successful initial 12-week period.

The provision supports pupils with social, emotional and mental health needs, often alongside additional learning or behavioural challenges. The school is looking for a teacher who can offer consistency, structure and high-quality teaching while building strong, trusting relationships in a calm and nurturing environment.

As an SEN Teacher, you will:

• Deliver engaging, well-differentiated lessons tailored to pupils with SEMH needs

• Create a calm, structured and predictable classroom environment

• Implement positive behaviour strategies and trauma-informed approaches

• Work collaboratively with support staff, senior leaders and external professionals

• Support pupils' emotional regulation, confidence and engagement with learning

• Contribute to EHCP targets, progress reviews and reporting

We're looking for a teacher who:

• Holds QTS, QTLS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
  

• Has experience working with pupils with SEMH, behavioural needs or in alternative provision

• Is confident managing challenging behaviour using positive and consistent approaches

• Brings a calm, patient and resilient mindset

• Is committed to safeguarding and inclusive practice

• Holds an Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (essential)

• A supportive and experienced leadership team with a strong SEN focus

• Small class sizes and high staff-to-pupil ratios

• Clear routines, systems and behaviour frameworks

• A genuine opportunity to secure a permanent role after 12 weeks
