Description: The Homeplace of Stanley is seeking 2 cooks. We are an Assisted Living that can serve up to 49 people. The cooks we are looking for must be friendly, team-oriented and customer service driven. This position requires self motivation, organization, good communication skills and the ability to be flexible as we work with people. Our cooks must know how to assemble, prepare, season, and portion food for individuals (some with dietary restrictions) within our facility. One of these positions is for a Head Cook, someone to manage the kitchen, work alongside your team while also guiding them according to DHS guidelines. Both positions require every other weekend, as well as CBRF state mandated trainings. Core Responsibilities for either cook position: Prepares and provides the highest quality and safest food possible Follows standardized recipes and guidelines for cooks to prepare, store and use food Maintains labeling and storage of food, equipment, and machinery Performs washing and cleaning duties to insure sanitation Operates equipment such as mixers, slicers, kettles, ovens, food grinders, and more The Head cook will also work closely with management to order food, maintain and update menus as needed as well as working closely with management to maintain a set food budget monthly.
