Description: Emergency Medicine Advanced Practice Provider in Hettinger, North Dakota Join a respected rural health organization as an Emergency Medicine Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in Hettinger, North Dakota. This is a rare opportunity to play a key role in expanding emergency coverage at a critical access hospital while practicing autonomously within a supportive, collegial environment.

Independent Practice Environment: Provide high-quality emergency care in a 2-bed ED averaging 4-5 patients daily
Collaborative Medical Team: Work alongside 3-4 emergency physicians, TNCC-certified RNs, a CRNA (on-call 95%), and surgical and OB support
Rural Emergency Autonomy: Function independently with backup via the 24/7 AVEL eCare system for virtual physician consultation
Predictable Schedule: 26 blocks per year, 7 days on / 7 days off, 24-hour shifts within a 10-minute call radius
Who You Are
- Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant licensed (or eligible) in North Dakota
- Experienced in emergency or urgent care settings (strong training rotations considered)
- Certified in ACLS, PALS, and ATLS
- Confident practicing independently in a rural critical access environment
Compensation and Benefits
Base Salary: $150,000 annually
