Century Business Products & Catalyst IT is seeking a skilled and customer-focused Field Service & Install Technician to join our growing team. In this role, you will provide expert technical service and support to our customers through field installation, startup, repair, and maintenance of hardware and software solutions. Your technical expertise and professionalism will play a key role in strengthening relationships with our customers and ensuring Century Business Products is represented as a competent, trustworthy, and innovative technology leader.






This position offers the opportunity to make a significant impact-supporting customers directly, shaping technical solutions, and contributing to the expansion of our software and IT services.




Key Responsibilities



  • Perform a wide range of technical field service duties including new product installations, equipment startup, functional testing, and end-user training.

  • Test, calibrate, and verify system components and peripheral devices.

  • Act as a professional representative of Century, delivering exceptional customer service on-site and during all service interactions.

  • Diagnose issues and perform repairs efficiently and effectively.

  • Promote and maintain strong, positive customer relationships.

  • Accurately document machine data, service history, and quality-related information.

  • Support the sales team by demonstrating products and solutions as needed.

  • Communicate regularly with management to ensure customer expectations are met and key information is shared across teams.

  • Provide backup support for the helpdesk and additional service needs when required.

  • Make recommendations for product or service improvements based on field insights.



Compensation, Benefits & Perks



  • Hourly Position - $20 to $27 per hour, based on experience

  • Consistent Monday-Friday, 8a-5p schedule

  • Ability to understand and explain technical concepts clearly and effectively.

  • Demonstrated aptitude for learning new technologies.

  • Strong time management and project management abilities.

  • High attention to detail with strong organizational skills.

  • Proven ability to collaborate well with team members and customers.

  • Experience prioritizing workloads to meet deadlines and work objectives.

  • Ability to maintain required security clearance for this role.

  • Passion for technology and a strong understanding of Century's mission and industry.







Compensation details: 20-27 Hourly Wage
