Description: Locum Tenens Obstetrics and Gynecology Specific Dates: April and May We are seeking a provider to cover obstetrics and gynecology services. The responsibilities include rounding on patients, being on-call for emergent C-sections and vaginal deliveries, and being available for any urgent GYN procedures. Please note that high-risk deliveries will only occur in emergency situations, as our facility does not have a NICU. High-risk transfers will be directed to other facilities, both of which are approximately 30-45 minutes away. A Level 1 nursery is available. The provider will be accommodated in hospital apartments adjacent to the facility. According to hospital bylaws, the provider must be within 20 minutes of the hospital. Support staff will include hospitalists, with 24/7 on-call anesthesiology and radiology services. The facility averages 27 deliveries per month, including approximately 11 C-sections. We have 3 labor rooms and 14 postpartum rooms, with a typical census of 1-3 deliveries within a 24-hour period. |
