Family Practice - Without OB Physician

Primary Responsibilities

• 
  Patient Consultations: Conduct thorough patient consultations, taking detailed medical histories, performing comprehensive physical examinations, and assessing patients' overall health status.


• 
  Diagnosis and Treatment: Diagnose and treat a wide range of acute and chronic medical conditions, prescribing medications, therapies, and other interventions as necessary.


• 
  Preventive Care: Implement preventive healthcare strategies, including routine screenings, vaccinations, and lifestyle counseling, to promote disease prevention and early detection.


• 
  Chronic Disease Management: Manage patients with chronic conditions, develop personalized care plans, monitor disease progression, and adjust treatment regimens as needed to improve patient outcomes.


• 
  Health Promotion and Education: Educate patients about healthy lifestyle choices, disease management, and self-care practices to empower them to actively participate in their healthcare.


• 
  Referrals and Coordination: Collaborate with specialists and healthcare professionals to coordinate patient referrals, ensuring comprehensive and coordinated care for complex medical cases.


• 
  Electronic Health Records (EHR): Document all patient interactions, assessments, treatments, and care plans accurately and efficiently in the electronic health record (EHR) system.


• 
  Health Advocacy: Advocate for patients' healthcare needs, ensuring that they receive appropriate and timely medical services and resources.


• 
  Continuity of Care: Establish and maintain strong doctor-patient relationships, providing ongoing care, follow-up, and support as needed.


• 
  Quality Improvement: Participate in quality improvement initiatives, adherence to evidence-based guidelines, and clinical audits to enhance patient safety and care standards.


• 
  Professional Development: Stay abreast of medical advancements, research, and best practices to continuously improve medical knowledge and clinical skills.

Job Requirements

Education and Experience:

• Completion of a Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree from an accredited medical school and Texas State.


• Licensed to practice as a Physician/MD in Texas.


• Complete a residency program in Internal Medicine and Family Medicine.


• Current Certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS, and Infection Control Training with a strong understanding of HIPAA Compliance.


• Valid DEA Registration.


• Experience in using electronic medical records (EMR) systems.


• Strong candidates will work well with an interdisciplinary team of clinicians and allied health professionals


• Has an interest in working for a growth-oriented total care healthcare organization that prioritizes the whole patient.
