Position Details:
- Inpatient, hospital-based setting
- Responsibilities include rounding, consults, and postoperative care
- No OR/First Assist or procedural work required
- Must have a basic understanding of acute neurosurgical and stroke emergencies, ICU care, neurosurgical elective procedures, and postoperative management
- Estimated 240 hours in a 6-week schedule with weekend shifts
- Weekend coverage required every 4th week
- No on-call duties
- Expected to see an average of 10 patients per day
EMR System: eCare/Cerner
Facility: Level 1 Trauma Center with Comprehensive Stroke designation
- APP will work autonomously with an off-site supervising physician available on-call 24/7
- No new graduates will be accepted
Required procedure: Simple suture for minor laceration repair
- Patient demographics: Ages 0-99
Submission Requirements:
Board Certification: ANCC or AANP - Required
Active MI License - Required
Clean Background - Required
BLS, ENLS, NIHSS - Required
MI Addressed DEA (Verbal Confirmation) - Required
