Position Details:
Patient Population: Adults 18+, no pediatrics
Setting: Hospital-based, no outpatient/clinic
Responsibilities:
- Pre-Op Physical Exams
- Suture Removal
- Diagnose & Treat Illnesses
- Order & Interpret Tests
- Assist in Surgery
- Write Prescriptions
- Coordination of Care
- Rounding
- Removal of permcaths/CVCs
Required Procedures: Vascular surgery/cardiothoracic operative experience required. Must be comfortable managing inpatient/internal medicine conditions (hypertension, diabetes, medical management).
Call Schedule:
- If working on the weekend, will cover call opposite the shift (e.g., if working 7a-7p, will cover 7p-7a call).
- Otherwise, may require 1 overnight shift per week or call.
EMR System: Epic
Supervision: Will work autonomously, but an on-call physician is available 24/7.
Compensation & Reimbursement:
- Flight, hotel, rental car, and mileage (billed at the IRS standard rate) will be reimbursed.
Note: Trinity Health does not reimburse for any application or credentialing fees.
Requirements:
Certification: NCCPA REQUIRED
License: Active NY License or willingness to obtain by 8/1/2025 REQUIRED
BLS, ACLS: REQUIRED
Experience: No new grads. Must have vascular surgery/cardiothoracic operative experience and inpatient/internal medicine management experience REQUIRED
