Position: Funeral Director


Description: We are currently seeking a Licensed Funeral Director to join our dedicated team. The ideal candidate brings a combination of professionalism, emotional intelligence, and an openness to learning and honoring the cultural traditions of the community we serve.


Responsibilities:


Meet with families to make funeral and/or cremation arrangements with care and empathy
Coordinate and direct funeral services, viewings, burials, and cremations
Prepare and file required legal documents (death certificates, permits, etc.)
Collaborate with religious institutions, cemeteries, and service providers to ensure seamless services
Ensure all services reflect family wishes, religious or cultural customs, and regulatory requirements
Participate in removals, embalming, and preparation as needed (based on licensure and experience)
Maintain a high standard of professionalism and facility presentation


Qualifications:


Valid Funeral Director License (or the ability to obtain one in the state of New York)
1+ years of experience preferred, but newly licensed professionals are encouraged to apply
Familiarity with, or willingness to be trained in, Catholic funeral rites and customs
Strong organizational, interpersonal, and time-management skills
Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record


Preferred Attributes:


Experience with funeral home software systems such as Pisari and Halcyon
Comfort working with families of diverse religious and cultural backgrounds

Pay: $45,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
