Position: Housing Choice Voucher Executive Director


Description: West Central Nebraska Joint Housing Authority is dedicated to providing safe, affordable housing to eligible families in 18 counties. We administer the Housing Choice Voucher (HCV) program and are committed to ensuring compliance and excellent service to our clients and community.


Job Summary:


We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Executive Director to manage all aspects of our HCV-only housing authority. This is a hands-on position requiring a versatile individual capable of handling a wide range of responsibilities, from administrative tasks to program management and compliance.


Responsibilities:


Program Management: Oversee all aspects of the Housing Choice Voucher (HCV) program, ensuring compliance with HUD regulations and West Central Nebraska Joint Housing Authority policies.
Financial Management: Manage all financial operations, including payroll, accounts payable, budget preparation, and financial reporting.
Client Services: Conduct client intake, answer phones, and provide exceptional customer service to program participants and landlords.
Recertification: Manage and conduct all recertification's to determine continued eligibility.
Compliance: Maintain up-to-date knowledge of HUD regulations and ensure compliance with all applicable laws and guidelines.
Board Relations: Prepare for and attend board meetings, providing updates on program performance and financial status.
NSPIRE Certification: Must be NSPIRE certified or complete the certification within 60 days of hire, as you will be responsible for inspections.
General Administration: Handle all other administrative tasks necessary for the smooth operation of the housing authority.


Qualifications:


Bachelor's degree in public administration, business administration, or a related field preferred but not required.
Proven experience in public housing or housing assistance programs, specifically the HCV program.
Strong knowledge of HUD regulations and compliance requirements.
Excellent financial management skills.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
Must be NSPIRE certified or completed within 60 days of hire.


Job Type: Full-time


Pay: $65,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
