This position involves 24-hour in-house shifts in a Level IV NICU, caring for high-acuity neonatal patients in a collaborative, team-based environment. The ideal candidate will have at least two years of experience in a Level III NICU or higher and be licensed (or compact eligible) in Nevada. Dates / Schedule Job Details / Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive inpatient care to critically ill and premature neonates in a high-acuity Level IV NICU.
Attend high-risk deliveries, perform intubations, and manage ventilated and complex cases.
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including NNPs and other neonatologists, to ensure optimal outcomes.
Participate in NICU rounds, admissions, and ongoing patient management.
No requirement for independent ECMO coverage; work always paired with other providers.
Follow all Pediatrix and Sunrise Children s Hospital protocols and rate structure.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Board Certified in Neonatology Required
Active Nevada medical license or IMLC Compact eligibility Required
Minimum 2 years of experience in a Level III NICU or higher Required
Ongoing availability for coverage Required
Completed Prescreen Questionnaire (must be submitted with application) Required
CV in MM/YYYY format with all gaps explained Required
ECMO experience Not required (never solo on shift)
