Surgery - General Physician

Hospital - General Surgery is in search of a locums Physician (MD/DO) to provide coverage over set dates in August, September, October, November, and December. This is needed for vacation coverage, and we prefer one locums to fill all shifts if possible.

We are looking for a provider to work the following dates:

8/4-8/10

9/22-9/28

10/27-11/2

12/27-12/28

Setting: Inpatient and Outpatient, call and rounding expected throughout out the24 hours of the dates listed. Exact schedule based on patients scheduled (onsite) ad procedures, rounding and call as needed. Further details to be discussed in the interview.

Patient Population: Mostly adults, may have children come through ER

Patient seen per shift in the clinic: no clinic at this time

Patients seen inpatient: up to 20-28

New patient/ existing patient time template: Hospital coverage only at this time

What is the support staff in each setting to support the locums? We have an ACS APRN, normal nursing unit

How many calls to they anticipate: 10 or more

Required Skills, Experience, Licensure

Either MD/DO

BC American Board of Surgery

Will you accept IM/Fam practice/ Hospitalist: No

Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, ATLS, ACLS, PALS, DEA Cert

Additional Requirements: KY or Compact License

EMR: Epic

Experience in general surgeries, which may include: Upper and Lower Endoscopy,

Colonoscopy, lower GI tract (colon or large bowel/intestine) with a fiberoptic flexible instrument inserted into the rectum and advanced to the beginning of the colon, Appendectomy, Hernias, Hysterectomies: Gall Bladder removal, Biopsies, C-sections, Basic Thoracic
