Join a respected, community-based oncology group known for its commitment to compassionate, patient-centered care. We are seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to provide inpatient oncology rounding and care management as part of a dedicated team of specialists.



About the Role


In this vital hospital-based position, the APP will collaborate closely with oncologists and hospital staff to manage the care of admitted oncology patients. You ll play a key role in supporting continuity of care, evaluating patient needs, and implementing treatment plans in a setting that values quality, collaboration, and compassion




  • Round on inpatient oncology patients in a hospital setting




  • Conduct clinical assessments, order appropriate diagnostics, and manage treatment interventions




  • Collaborate with the oncology team, nursing staff, and hospitalists to ensure optimal patient outcomes




  • Document patient encounters accurately and in a timely manner using the EMR




  • Serve as a liaison between the inpatient team and outpatient care providers




  • Support patients and families through complex treatment journeys with professionalism and empathy



Qualifications


  • Active Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license in Virginia




  • Oncology experience required (inpatient oncology experience strongly preferred)




  • Excellent clinical judgment, communication skills, and bedside manner




  • Passion for serving oncology patients with dignity and respect



Compensation & Benefits



  • Competitive Salary: $125,000 $145,000 annually (commensurate with experience)
