Hospitalist Physician

Daytime Hospitalist Physician Upstate New York

Schedule: 7 days on/7 days off with a changeover on Tuesday; 7:00 am - 7:00pm

Setting: Inpatient

Call Required: No call required

Practice Staffing Model: Increased census; 3 MDs and 1 APP for each of two (2) rotating teams on day shift; 1 MD on rotating teams on night shift; MDs will cover ICU as an open ICU until addition of Pulmonary & Critical Care physicians; 24/7 Tele-Intensivist

Types of Procedures/Cases : Typical med-surg community hospital with 24/7 specialty on call providers in non-invasive Cardiology, ENT including healthy pediatrics, General Surgery, GI, Orthopedics, Urology and OBGYN; census is budgeted at 40-48 patients with approximately 5,000 admissions per year; med-surg contains 44-private and 4-semi private rooms and ICU contains 8-private rooms (typically utilize 6-rooms with MD supervision); experience with central lines/intubations, Thoracentesis and Paracentesis preferred, however they work with other service lines when capabilities are limited.

Compensation:

  Highly competitive salary in the $325,000 - $350,000 range.
