Description: Perl Funeral Home & Siskiyou Memorial Park, a rapidly growing funeral home and cemetery in Medford, Oregon, is seeking a Licensed Funeral Director/Embalmer to join our compassionate and dedicated team. Position Overview As a Licensed Funeral Director/Embalmer , you will play a vital role in serving families with professionalism and care-both through directing meaningful services and providing quality preparation and embalming. This position includes participation in an on-call rotation, which may involve evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays. Key Responsibilities Guide families through funeral, cremation, and memorial service options with compassion and professionalism. Coordinate all aspects of funeral arrangements, including service details, merchandise selection, and contract documentation. Prepare and embalm human remains in accordance with state laws, health regulations, and professional standards. Ensure accurate completion of all required documentation, including death certificates, burial permits, obituaries, and insurance claims. Oversee or assist with funeral and graveside services, ensuring seamless coordination, transportation, and setup. Maintain cleanliness, readiness, and compliance in preparation and embalming areas, including proper use of PPE. Participate in first-call response and removals, working independently and collaboratively with the team. Qualifications & Requirements Current Oregon Funeral Director and Embalmer Licenses (or ability to obtain through reciprocity). Proven experience in funeral service, including directing, embalming, and family arrangement conferences. Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on empathy and professionalism. Technological proficiency and adaptability with case management software and digital systems. Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
