Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS) is looking for a Mid-Level, Experienced, or Lead Systems Engineer (Level 3, 4, or 5) to join our Hardware/Software Integration IPT (Integrated Product Team) team in El Segundo or Seal Beach, California.

Position Responsibilities:

• 
  

  Applies an interdisciplinary, collaborative approach to plan, design, develop and verify a lifecycle balanced system of systems and system solutions.

  
  


• 
  

  Evaluates customer and /operational needs to define and coordinate system performance requirements, integrate technical parameters and assure compatibility of all physical, functional and program interfaces.

  
  


• 
  

  Performs various analyses to optimize total system of systems and/or system architecture.

  
  


• 
  

  Performs analyses for affordability, safety, reliability, maintainability, testability, human systems integration, survivability, vulnerability, susceptibility, system security, regulatory, certification, product assurance and other specialties quality factors into a preferred configuration to ensure mission success.

  
  


• 
  

  Develops the planning, organization, implementation and monitoring of requirements management processes, tools, risk, issues, opportunity management and technology readiness assessment processes.

  
  


• 
  

  Resolves cross-functional technical issues.

  
  

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience):

• 
  

  Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement

  
  


• 
  

  5+ years of experience in Systems Engineering

  
  


• 
  

  5+ years of experience working in cross-functional engineering teams

  
  


• 
  

  3+ years of experience working with requirements decomposition and sell off

  
  

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

• 
  

  9+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience

  
  


• 
  

  14+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience

  
  


• 
  

  3+ years of experience working in an Agile development program

  
  


• 
  

  Experience with Atlassian Jira and Confluence

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Mid-Level (Level 3) Summary pay range: $104,550 - $141,450

Experienced (Level 4) Summary pay range: $128,350 - $173,650

Lead (Level 5) Summary pay range: $157,250 - $212,750
