In this role, you will be a vital part of our growing pool service company, contributing to our mission of providing exceptional service and Renovations to our customers. Your expertise will not only ensure high-quality Renovations but will also position you as a mentor to help train and support other technicians. Responsibilities


Renovation Quotes:

Deliver clear, detailed, and visually inspiring renovation quotes that balance technical precision with creative vision. As a Renovation Technician, you'll take accurate measurements to ensure material precision, minimize waste, and produce reliable cost estimates.


Each quote should include the correct line items for plaster, tile, coping, lighting, and other upgrades-reflecting our standards for quality, safety, and craftsmanship. Beyond accuracy, your quotes should bring the renovation to life for customers, showcasing the transformation of their pool with new plaster finishes, bold tile designs, and lighting that elevates their entire backyard experience.


Through confident, professional communication, you'll listen to customer goals, answer questions, and present renovation options that are both exciting and dependable. By blending accuracy with artistry, you'll create quotes that build trust, highlight our craftsmanship, and give customers confidence in their investment.



Customer Communication:




  • Before Service: Communicate with customers ahead of your arrival to confirm the appointment, share your expected arrival time, and address any preliminary questions.


  • During Service: Keep customers informed throughout the quoting process, explaining options and recommended solutions clearly and professionally.


  • After Service: Follow up with customers after onsite visit to ensure satisfaction, address any additional concerns. Maintain open communication to foster trust and long-term relationships.



Sales:

Renovation Technicians are expected to approach every renovation opportunity with a sales-minded focus. This means not only creating accurate and inspiring quotes, but also proactively following up with customers after quotes are delivered. Technicians should maintain clear, professional communication to answer questions, address concerns, and reinforce the value of the renovation. The goal is to build trust, highlight the transformation potential of the project, and confidently guide the customer toward approval. By taking ownership of the follow-up process and striving to close work, Renovation Technicians directly contribute to company growth while ensuring customers feel supported and excited about their investment.



Plaster Start-Ups as Needed:

Renovation Technicians are also responsible for managing plaster start-ups following pool resurfacing. This includes coordinating pool fill-ups, adding start-up chemicals, initiating pump operation, and ensuring proper filter service. Technicians provide homeowner guidance on brushing protocols and maintain close coordination with the Service and Repair Teams for multi-week follow-up visits and final system setup. Adhering to start-up best practices is critical to ensure new plaster cures correctly, maintains its finish, and provides customers with a long-lasting, beautiful renovation. (

Quality Control (QC):

Deliver exceptional service and attention to detail to ensure Renovations meet or exceed customer expectations, fostering long-term satisfaction. When quality control issues do arise, handle them as a top priority by addressing the problem promptly, communicating openly with customers, and implementing immediate solutions to resolve concerns. Ensure follow-up actions are taken to prevent recurrence and maintain trust in our commitment to excellence.



Leak Detection Services as Needed:

Renovation Technicians are expected to perform thorough leak detection services as part of internal support. This includes conducting visual inspections of equipment, lines, and pool structures, performing dye and pressure tests, and utilizing sonar gear to identify hidden leaks. Technicians must be able to accurately diagnose issues such as spillover, wall, skimmer, or deck/foundation leaks, and document findings for repair planning. By applying consistent testing methods and attention to detail, you will help ensure accurate diagnoses that protect customer investments and maintain pool integrity. (

Team Collaboration & Communication:


Work closely with the service and repair teams to support daily operations, share knowledge, and contribute to a collaborative, team-focused environment. Actively participate in team communication via Slack and other channels to ensure seamless coordination, provide updates on ongoing renovations, ask for or offer troubleshooting support, and communicate relevant details that keep projects running smoothly. By maintaining open, proactive communication, you help drive efficiency, strengthen teamwork, and support overall company success.





Requirements:

Qualifications:



  • Previous experience in pool service or sales is required.

  • Valid driver's license.

  • Ability to be outside in all Texas weather conditions.

  • A great team-player attitude with the flexibility to wear multiple hats.

  • Strong customer service mindset and communication skills.

  • Desire to be part of a fast-growing, dynamic team.
