Position: Part-Time Payroll Assistant |
Description: Description: We are seeking a Payroll Assistant to join our team with training beginning in December, to ensure a smooth transition before the new year. The Part-Time Payroll Assistant is responsible for processing payroll for 7 cities through the Paylocity Payroll System. This includes but not limited to: Auditing time cards for accuracy, reviewing and processing of new hire paperwork, resolving payroll discrepancies, and management of I-9 and payroll records.
This position will require a Monday, Tuesday, and Friday work schedule of up to 28 hours per week with some flexibility. Requirements: Responsibilities
- Process all payroll cycles for 7 cities
- Enter new hire information into Paylocity Payroll System
- Maintain employee records and files
- Reconcile all payroll and benefits schedules
- Resolving pay discrepancies and answering any employee payroll queries.
- Maintain confidentiality and respect for privacy of employee records.
- Perform monthly journal entries for payroll
- Handle new applicant paperwork
- Communicate with management and staff.
Qualifications:
- HR/Payroll experience required
- Knowledge of Paylocity Payroll System (preferred)
- Strong written and verbal communication
- prompt and courteous demeanor
- Detail orientated
- Self-starter that requires minimal supervision
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and 10 key by touch
- High School Education or equivalent with payroll experience
