Emergency Medicine Physician

• Locum need is for equivalent of 4 FTE - urgent need as SMD is leaving at end of May and there will only be 2 FTEs remaining


• Locum providers must be flexible to work days, nights and weekends


• Main hospital campus may consider less than 12hr shifts, affiliated FSED's require 12hr shifts


• Will consider FM or IM trained with EM experience. Needs ATLS, ACLs, PALS


• Experience Level All ok if boarded

• What procedures are required All standard ER procedures


• What does the support staff include No peds, no plastics, no neuro IR, NO cath lab, NO OB

• What are the most common cases Higher population of Level 4 and 5 patients. Do get sick patients which require intubation, central lines (have an ICU).


• Annual ER admissions 12%
