We are seeking a General Practitioner (MD/DO) with Occupational Medicine experience for a locum tenens assignment in Wood River, IL. This role provides vacation coverage for up to six weeks over a 12-month period, making it an ideal fit for a physician seeking occasional locums work without long-term commitments. Why This Role? Flexible Work Schedule No long-term commitment, just periodic coverage. Strictly Occupational Medicine No primary care or urgent care duties. Competitive Pay $125 per hour, plus a paid lunch break. Duties & Responsibilities In this role, you will focus exclusively on Occupational Medicine, including:
Physicals: DOT, post-job offer, hazmat, silica, asbestos.
Workplace Evaluations: Fit-for-duty and return-to-work exams.
Injury Management: Workplace injuries, workers' compensation cases, and OSHA recordables.
Drug & Alcohol Testing: Onsite screenings and compliance evaluations.
On-Call Physician Cases: Providing expert assessment and guidance as needed.
Ideal Candidate
MD or DO with an active Illinois license.
Occupational Medicine experience required must be well-versed in OSHA recordables and workplace injury management.
Semi-retired or fully retired physician preferred looking to stay current with periodic locums work.
