Position: PRN Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) in Butler, AL |
Description: Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate PRN Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our dedicated healthcare team in Butler, Alabama. This per diem (as-needed) position offers exceptional flexibility, allowing you to tailor your schedule while delivering high-quality care to patients across a variety of settings, including acute care, outpatient, and long-term care. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated clinician seeking flexible hours and meaningful work with a diverse patient population.
Key Responsibilities:
Evaluate, diagnose, and treat speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders for patients of all ages.
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on each patient s unique needs and goals.
Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams to ensure holistic, patient-centered care.
Educate and counsel patients and families on communication and swallowing strategies, therapy techniques, and progress expectations.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all evaluations, treatments, and patient progress in compliance with clinical and regulatory standards.
Participate in team meetings and case discussions to enhance patient outcomes.
Stay up to date with current best practices, research, and innovations in speech-language pathology.
Qualifications:
Master s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
Active Alabama state license as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
CCC-SLP certification from ASHA preferred (Clinical Fellowship candidates may be considered).
Previous clinical experience in a healthcare setting preferred, but new graduates are welcome to apply.
Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
Flexibility to adapt to a variety of patient needs and schedules.
CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).
