Position: PRN Occupational Therapist (OT) in Grand Bay, AL |
Description: We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our dynamic team in an as-needed (PRN/per diem) capacity in Grand Bay, AL. In this flexible role, you ll provide essential therapy services to a diverse patient population helping individuals recovering from injury, managing chronic conditions, or working to improve their daily living skills and independence. Key Responsibilities:
Assessment & Evaluation: Perform comprehensive assessments of patients physical, cognitive, emotional, and environmental needs to guide individualized care planning.
Treatment Planning: Develop and implement personalized treatment plans based on assessment results, establishing realistic and meaningful goals in collaboration with patients and families.
Intervention: Deliver therapeutic interventions to enhance patients ability to perform activities of daily living (ADLs) using appropriate therapeutic techniques and tools.
Patient & Family Education: Provide education on home exercise programs, adaptive strategies, and use of assistive devices to promote continued progress and independence.
Documentation: Maintain timely, accurate, and complete patient records including progress notes, evaluations, and discharge summaries in compliance with professional standards.
Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare providers to ensure coordinated and comprehensive care.
Flexibility: Be available to work on an as-needed basis to support patient care during staff absences, census fluctuations, or special coverage needs.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor s or Master s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
Licensure: Active and valid Occupational Therapist license in the state of Alabama.
Experience: Prior clinical experience preferred, though new graduates are welcome to apply.
Skills: Strong assessment and problem-solving abilities, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and proficiency with therapy tools and documentation systems.
