Position: Assistant Project Manager/Estimator |
Description: Responsibilities: - Preparing estimates, submittals, change orders, and RFI's, to streamline ongoing projects. - Assist in managing current workload and maintaining construction schedules. - Assemble, organize, and maintain documentation needed for timely project closeout activities. - Professional communication to Owners, Clients, Engineers, etc. involved in ongoing projects. - Support safety program policies, procedures, and compliance. Requirements Skills and Experience: We are looking for a motivated self-starter with strong organizational skills, and a willingness to grow into a project manager role in the construction industry. The ideal candidate will maintain a great sense of pride in his or her work, along with professional communication and attention to detail. Specific requirements are listed below: - Proficient in the use of computerized systems, including Outlook, Excel, Adobe, Word, etc. - Familiar with project management software and estimating software is a plus. - OSHA 10 certification required, OSHA 30 certification preferred. - Ability to meet deadlines and bid dates with a positive attitude. - Ability to interact effectively and professionally with all levels of employees, both management and staff alike, vendors, clients, and others. - Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks. - Strong written and verbal communication skills. - Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record. Minimum Requirements: - Two-year degree in a related field such as construction management, construction technology, etc. Four-year degree preferred. - Some field experience preferred. - Knowledge and Understanding of architectural, mechanical, and general construction techniques.
