Description:
The Department of Medicine, under the leadership of Aaron Glatt, MD, MACP, has nearly 400 members including a superb large hospitalist program and exceptional subspecialists. There are 39 Internal Medicine Residents under the leadership of Steven Weiss, MD, and they will be moving to a brand new state-of-the-art ambulatory site at the end of the academic year. This teaching clinician position will be in charge of maintaining the high quality and excellent ambulatory experience for the residents, and will be a M-F 9-5 teaching responsibility with no required hospital care. There is no weekend coverage in house, but for those interested, there are options for moonlighting. For more senior candidates, there is the option of becoming an Associate PD and or site director of the new facility. The chosen candidates will have the opportunity to partner with world renowned, Icahn School of Medicine. Mount Sinai's Department of Medicine is strongly committed to caring for the whole patient and places special emphasis on providing patient-centered care.
