Position: Surgery - Cardiovascular Physician Assistant |
Description:
Coverage Needed :
- As soon as credentialed - ongoing
- Monday-Friday, 7 AM - 4 PM
- Weeknight call and 24-hour weekend call possible (schedule TBD)
- 3-4 weeks per month of consistent coverage
Clinical Details :
- Patients Population Mix: 100% Adults
- Procedures Required: General Cardiac Surgery including CABG, AVR, MVR, ECMO
- Average 1-3 surgical cases per day, 10-15 inpatients
- Level 1 Trauma
- EMR System: EPIC
- Support Staff: Team of 5 PA/NP, OP-RN support, CV Supervisor
- Onsite for cases, OR Call, ICU Round if patient census necessitates
- Rotating call schedule amongst team (weeknights and weekends possible)
Requirements :
- Certified PA
- Active Illinois license - Highly Preferred
- will consider candidates willing to obtain an IL license
- Experience in surgical first assisting, Endoscopic Vein Harvest (EVH), perioperative patient care, and inpatient rounding
- Preferred experience in ECMO
- ACLS Certification
- Clean and easy-to-credential candidates - Highly Preferred
- Multiple years of OR experience - Preferred
