Position: Internal Medicine Nurse Practitioner |
Description: Job Title: Locum Nurse Practitioner - General Medicine Join a dedicated team at a facility that supports our nation's Veterans! We are seeking General Medicine Providers to perform Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments in Houston, New Mexico. This is a unique opportunity to make a difference while working in a supportive environment.
Job Responsibilities: - Conduct Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments on a PRN basis.
- Perform primarily interview-based exams with minimal physical assessments.
- Complete required reports and addendums in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with Veterans Evaluation Services (VES) to assist in caring for Veterans.
- No prescribing or treatment involved.
- Option to work half days (4 hours) or full days (8 hours) as per availability.
Qualifications: - Proficient in METs testing, evaluating, and diagnosing respiratory and cardiovascular conditions.
- Must have AANP certification.
- Active and unrestricted license required.
- Must possess a laptop (non-Mac/Apple products).
- Willingness to complete DMA training for certification.
- Experience in family medicine, internal medicine, orthopedic surgery, or general medicine preferred.
License and Certification Requirements: - Current and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license in New Mexico.
- AANP Certification.
- DMA certification required upon completion of training.
