A Customer Service Driver is primarily in charge of providing customer support, mainly through delivery, pickup, and scheduling with local customers. Their responsibilities typically revolve around answering inquiries, addressing, and troubleshooting problems, maintaining records of all transactions, and referring them to other services when necessary. There are also instances when they must perform follow-up calls, offer products and services, discuss product specifications and promotions, develop sales strategies, and generate leads through research and analysis. This role will support warehouse operations (receiving, shipping) when not on the road, both in support of the van and the operation in general.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Safely operate company vehicles following designated routes and schedules
- Loading, unloading, preparing, inspecting, and operating the delivery vehicle
- Deliver and receive packages, accurately log information into the company ERP system
- Ensure timely and accurate data entry and record-keeping
- Assist with processing customer orders and handling inventory
- Communicate effectively with customers, addressing inquiries and resolving issues
- Provide information on new products, services, and promotions
- Support warehouse functions when not driving
- Travel is approximately 75% of the time, which may include overnight stays
- Performs other related duties as required
Requirements: Qualifications
- Proven experience in a customer service or delivery-related role
- Valid Driver's License and Clean Driving Record
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
- Basic computer proficiency (e.g., ERP systems, data entry)
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
- Familiarity with handling materials and warehouse environments preferred
