Position: House Lead - Caregiver


Description: HERE IS YOUR OPPORTUNITY to work with great residents in a non-violent setting in a residential 4 bedroom home. A successful HOUSE LEAD will be primarily on AM shift but also help staff PM and Overnight shifts as needed.


Pay based on Experience


WE WILL TRAIN INTO A MANAGEMENT POSITION


AM SHIFT (7am-3pm)


PM SHIFT (3pm-11pm)


OVERNIGHT SHIFT (11pm-7am)


We are looking for a demonstrated leader to support our already successful team of caring and professional staff at our Minong location.


This position will enjoy collaboration and support from our Minong and Hayward staff and location as well as leadership, support and training locally.


The House Lead position requires, above all, building and maintaining a person centered environment for staff and residents. As a Lead you will promote a clean and healthy environment while creating a positive environment for our residents and staff.


The candidate will also be responsible for assisting Management in meeting high standards in the areas of facilitation and managing all activities and functions of ARCH of Minong home. Together we will ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines, company policies and procedures, resident care and supervision of employees.


Supervises: DSP/ Direct Support Professionals, Caregivers, elders care, PCW, Caregiver, House Lead, Management, supervisor.


Qualifications:
Experience in a supervisory position or qualified experience preferred but not required.
Experience in the Health Care field such as Assistant Living, Long Term Care, Home Health care preferred but not required.
Demonstrated ability to motivate and lead employees to promote teamwork and a positive workplace.


Ability to schedule and manage staff schedules.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Must be able to twist, turn, squat, bend, reach, pull, push from high/low positions, raise arms above shoulder, walk, sit on chairs and floor level surfaces, climb stairs, and use hands and fingers and other physical requirements of the position.


Responsibilities:
Displays an attitude of courtesy and respect for all residents, families and staff and represents ARCH in a professional manner.
Responsible for Ordering medications, including PRN and OTC House Medications. Checking for expired and discontinued medications and properly disposing them per Policy and Procedure Book. Following up with Pharmacy to make sure the correct Medications are Listed on the MAR and and upcoming MARS are filed in the MAR Book


Responsible for making sure we have copies of all forms needed on a daily basis.


Manage and direct staff scheduling.
Ensures accurate record keeping/ auditing as per regulatory guidelines MARs, Checklists, Charting, etc.


Provides ongoing follow up and feedback to employees concerning performance. MARs, Checklists, Charting, maintains Log, tracking errors and deficiencies


Maintains continuous/open communication with staff and supervisor regarding problems, Ideas, suggestions and methods to improve quality of care.


Demonstrates commitment and provides leadership through personal example, goes above and beyond.


Sets clear goals and expectations for employees and follows up with support and disciplinary action if needed.


Takes initiative to check on quality of care employees are providing, on all shifts and days, not limited to documentation. (In person Spot checks)
Demonstrates ability to motivate co-workers and employees provides praise recognition and incentives for high performance and creates a positive work environment.


Demonstrates ability to maintain professional boundaries with employees and residents


Demonstrates support of supervisor and organizational goals, takes initiative to come up with new ideas and ways for growth.


Promotes effective use of fiscal resources
Maintains a detailed list of supplies, groceries, needed for efficient operation of facility
Assist Administrator ensuring all employees receive mandatory training Monthly CEU's, Fire drills, etc. and supports the professional development of employees


Takes initiative to incorporate new training ideas as needs arise.


Demonstrates flexibility with schedules by filling in on shifts as needed for sick calls, vacations and emergency situations. Works on schedules with staff to make sure we have coverage.
