Shall: Develop and maintain relationships with assigned agents and brokers in order to attract, grow, and retain profitable business in assigned territory. Recommend program structures such as coverage, limits and retention, rating plan and pricing, and billing combinations to achieve desired Business Unit goals, including long term profitability. Evaluate prospect or renewal financial standing, operational strategy, and industry trends to determine whether to proceed with account, and under what terms and conditions. Perform hazard analysis, and collaborates with experienced underwriters and other departments to evaluate potential exposure to loss. Assess the customer and broker requests and determine acceptable coverage grants by line of business to address customer critical insurance and service needs. Develop price for coverage and rating plan option under consideration to meet target returns using pricing tools, manual rates, and rating plans and based on assessments of prospect or renewal operations and anticipated hazards, primary and excess losses, and expenses.
