REMOTE WORK FROM HOME POSSIBLE Insurance producer with authority to bind commercial general and excess liability insurance policies in select segments of business seeks experienced Underwriter to support business by reviewing, evaluating, underwriting and quoting new and renewal submissions for insurance products offered. Activities: Evaluate new and renewal submissions from outside producers to make decisions based on individual risk characteristics, exposure analysis, hazard recognition, and controls. Accept, reject, decline, or modify new and renewal business consistent with delegated authority levels, binding authority guidelines, and insurer policies and processes. Prepare quotes, binders, policies, endorsements, amendments, and rating worksheets to justify underwriting acceptance and pricing. Ensure electronic file integrity and clear and complete underwriting files in compliance with quality control functions. Develop and maintain contacts in the retail and wholesale producer areas to communicate the status of open submissions, complete submission files, and present terms and conditions offered in any quote or indication. Generally Support producers and insureds with all aspects of existing or prospective accounts to increase new business and optimize renewal retention. Requirements: Bachelor s degree. 2+ years of excess and surplus lines underwriting experience in construction and artisan contractor space with a carrier, managing general agent, or other insurance producer.
