Position: Account Executive


Description: Account Executive - Federal IT Staffing and Solutions About the Role As an Account Executive at Gridiron IT, you will play a pivotal role in advancing our mission to connect exceptional talent with critical federal missions across the nation. This high-impact position focuses on identifying, developing, and managing strategic client relationships within the federal government and prime contractor community. You will leverage Gridiron IT's strong reputation, extensive cleared talent network, and agile delivery model to support clients in achieving their IT, cybersecurity, and digital modernization objectives. Responsibilities Develop and execute a strategic plan to identify new business opportunities within targeted federal agencies and integrators. Proactively source and engage potential clients through networking, referrals, market research, and outreach efforts. Conduct client meetings to understand mission requirements, present Gridiron IT's core capabilities, and position our staffing and solutions offerings as strategic enablers. Manage the end-to-end sales process including proposal development, client negotiations, and contract finalization in collaboration with internal teams. Partner closely with Gridiron IT's dedicated recruiting team to align talent pipelines with client needs, ensuring rapid delivery and high-quality placements. Maintain and expand relationships with existing clients by understanding evolving needs, providing ongoing support, and identifying additional opportunities for partnership growth. Stay informed on federal market trends, emerging technology areas, and procurement cycles to better advise clients and shape proactive strategies. Represent Gridiron IT at industry events, conferences, and client engagements to strengthen brand presence and market positioning. Qualifications Minimum of 2-4 years of successful business development or account management experience in federal IT staffing or consulting services. Demonstrated ability to build and sustain relationships with federal clients and large integrators. Strong consultative selling, negotiation, and presentation skills. Excellent organizational and time management abilities; capable of prioritizing multiple initiatives in a fast-paced environment. Familiarity with CRM systems and business development tools (e.g., Bullhorn, ZoomInfo, GovWin) is desirable. Deep understanding of the federal IT market landscape, including security clearance requirements and compliance considerations. Compensation and Benefits Salary Range: $65,000 - $75,000 + Commission (Compensation is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, work experience, skills, education, certifications, seniority, and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.) Full-time and part-time employees working at least 30 hours per week on a regular basis are eligible to participate in Gridiron's benefits programs.
