Description: Job Opportunity: Locum - General Medicine Physician


Join an esteemed practice dedicated to serving our nation's Veterans. We are seeking General Medicine Providers to conduct Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments at various locations across North Carolina. This role offers the opportunity to work in your own office while making a meaningful impact in the lives of those who have served.


This opportunity is designed for healthcare professionals looking to engage on a PRN basis, either part-time or full-time, in a supportive environment with a focus on patient assessments rather than treatment.

Responsibilities
  • Perform Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments.
  • Conduct interviews and physical assessments, including range of motion and muscle strength testing.
  • No prescribing or treatment involved; focus on examinations and evaluations.
  • Complete necessary reports and administrative tasks within the designated work hours.
  • Participate in quick credentialing and onboarding processes.

Qualifications
  • Proficient in METs testing, evaluating, and diagnosing respiratory and cardiovascular conditions.
  • Own a laptop (no Mac/Apple products).
  • Active and unrestricted license in North Carolina.
  • AANP certification required.
  • Willingness to complete DMA training for certification.
  • Experience in family medicine, internal medicine, orthopedic surgery, or general medicine.

License and Certification Requirements
  • Must hold an active medical license in North Carolina.
  • Certification as a Board Certified Physician.
  • DMA certification may be required upon completion of training.
