Description: JOB OVERVIEW • Job Title: Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant or Physician Hematology Oncology • Job Type: Locum Tenens • Location: Waterford, CT • Service Setting: Outpatient Infusion Center • Coverage Type: Clinical Only • Coverage Period: 07/01 31/2025 • Clinical Shift Schedule: Mon-Fri; 8a-5p PATIENT INFORMATION • Patient Demographics: Adult Hematology/Oncology patients • Case Mix: Malignant and benign hematology and oncology patients FACILITY INFORMATION • Office Equipment Available: Standard infusion clinic and Hem/Onc practice • Specialty Backup Available: On-site Hem/Onc physicians • Support Staff Available: Infusion and clinic support team • Reason for Coverage: Locum coverage for clinical services PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE • Hospital Privileges Required: Yes • Credentialing Timeline: Not specified COMPENSATION & BENEFITS • Rate: TBD • Travel, Lodging, and Malpractice Insurance covered REQUIRED PROCEDURES • Hematology/Oncology patient assessments and follow-up • Independent management of benign hematology cases preferred JOB REQUIREMENTS • Licenses: Active Connecticut license • Experience: Hematology Oncology experience required; must be comfortable with outpatient infusion care • Other Qualifications: Strong preference for APPs who can manage benign hematology independently DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES • Provide direct patient care to Hem/Onc patients in an outpatient setting • Independently manage benign hematology cases if qualified • Collaborate with supervising physicians and infusion center staff • Document clinical care per facility standards • Deliver consistent weekday coverage with no weekends or holiday expectations |
