Position: Surgery - General Physician Assistant |
Description: Shift: 12-Hour Shifts
Description:
- Job Title: General Surgery- Physician Assistant
- Job Duration: 13 weeks
- Experience: Inpatient surgery, OR, and/or trauma experience required
- License: CT license preferred
- Must-Have: Epic EMR experience
- Hourly Rate: $120 per hour
- Additional Benefits: Malpractice insurance, travel, and lodging covered
- Scope of Work: Average of 25-40 patients per shift split between two teams, including vascular surgery during the day; night shifts involve shared patient coverage between two providers
- Services provided: Inpatient general surgery, trauma, vascular, plastics, colorectal, surgical oncology, and thoracic services; Rounding; Consults; Respond to trauma; OR coverage
- Comfortable working independently
- Procedures required: I&D, debridement, chest tube, NGT
